Contexts

In June, we received a notification of a new product order from a customer, two copper alloy investment castings for heat exchangers on ships; after receiving the notification, we immediately initiated a project review meeting;

  • Mold making

We have commissioned outside mold makers to produce both molds.
Mold Specification:408mmx373mmx178mm, Weights: 75Kg ;
                                  391mmx391mmx148mm, Weights: 45Kg ;

  • Wax mold making

As it is a new sample, the process parameters are not determined, so the sample production of wax molds is made by the director of our waxing workshop himself, and after the process parameters are stabilized, the next batch of production will be transferred to the staff;
    First of all, we set the parameters of the waxing process, our waxing time is set at 35S.

    The second step is to prepare the mold and spray the mold location with a release agent, which facilitates the later pickup work

    Step 3: Start making wax molds

    Step 4: Remove the wax mold. Note: When removing the wax mold, you should first blow the contact surface between the wax mold and the      mold with an air gun, so that the wax mold can be loosened, to prevent the wax mold from being too tightly adhered to the mold, which will      lead to deformation of the wax mold during the process of removing the wax mold;

    Step 5: Place the removed wax molds in a sink of fresh water to cool;

  • Making shell molds

Our product shell production is set to 5 and a half layers, including the surface layer, reinforcement layer, sealing layer; surface layer production cycle for 6 days, but because this is a large product, it is not easy to dry, so we extend the drying time of each layer, as far as possible in the production process to avoid the production of defective products to produce factors!

  • Gross production

Through casting and post-processing, we will obtain a rough product that is close to the final shape of the product;

  • Machining

After the blank is completed, according to the process steps designed by the machining technicians, lathe machining, machining center machining, drilling machine machining, and finally obtain the finished product

  • Finished product inspection

 After processing is completed, our final inspectors use testing tools to conduct final inspection of the products before warehousing to ensure that defective products do not flow out;
